Paravathipuram is a small municipality town in the Parvathipuram mandal located in the Viziangram district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

The town has the following co-ordinates 18°46'N 83°25'E and has an average elevation of 120 meters which is 393.7 feet. According to the 2011 census the town had a total population of 53,844. The total population constitutes of 26,811 males and 27,033 females. This gives us a sex ratio of 1008 females per 1000 males. There are 5,048 children in the town aged between 0-6. Amongst them there are 2,607 boys and 2,441 girls which give us a ratio of 936 girls per 1000 boys. The average literacy rate of the town stands at 79.14% with 38,618 literates which is significantly higher in number than the state average literacy rate.

Economy of Paravathipuram

The town comes under the Viziangram district which is amongst the thirteen backward districts in the country who are receiving funds from the Backward Regions Grant Fund Program (BRGF). The major contributions to the GVA come from the agriculture sector. Agriculture includes cultivation of crops like tomato, sugarcane, paddy, mango, milk, meat and fisheries.
